The ‘100 Million Edition’ version of the Maestro Edge 110 and Destini 125 scooters has been launched by Hero MotoCorp at Rs 65,250 and Rs 72,250 respectively.
The ‘100 Million Edition’ scooters were released just days after the special motorcycle edition version was introduced. The two scooters Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 110 have hit the market with a dual-tone Red/white paint scheme and are limited to just cosmetic updates.
Both the scooters have similar mechanicals and equipment as the standard models along with a standard variomatic drive transmission system. The Hero Maestro Edge 110 is powered by a 110.9cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which produces a maximum power of 8.04bhp at 7250rpm and a peak torque of 8.7Nm at 5750rpm.
The Hero Destini 125 is powered by a 124.6cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which produces a maximum power of 9bhp at 7000rpm and a peak torque of 10.4Nm at 5500rpm. Both scooters feature a semi-digital instrument cluster, large seats, always-on headlamps and external fuel fillers.
The company released these special edition scooters alongside three other motorcycles in India, in order to celebrate the achievement of reaching 100 million production units. These three motorcycles are the Hero Xtreme 160R, Splendor Plus and Passion Pro.
Both these special edition scooters will face market competition in India from other models. The Hero Maestro Edge 110 will rival the likes of the Honda Activa and Honda Dio while the Hero Destini 125 will compete against the likes of the Suzuki Access 125 and the Yamaha Fascino 125.
