The new 2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio is available in India in four trim levels spread across several variants. They are LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+. The price of the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio starts in India at Rs 4.99 lakhs for the base LXI variant while the top model ZXI+ is priced at Rs 6.94 lakhs. 2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio – Engine Specs and Mileage

The new 2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio draws power from an updated BS6 compliant 1.0-litre K10 series petrol engine. This new naturally-aspirated petrol motor pumps out 67 PS of power and 89 Nm of peak torque, which makes it around 2 PS and 1 Nm less powerful than the outgoing model. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT. The hatchback also gets an engine idle start-stop system. Maruti Suzuki will even launch a CNG variant of the Celerio soon. Now, talking about fuel efficiency, Maruti Suzuki claims that the new Celerio is the most fuel-efficient petrol car in India. Its VXi AMT variant has a claimed mileage figure of 26.68 kmpl while the ZXi AMT and ZXi+ AMT variants are claimed to deliver 26 kmpl. The ZXi+ MT variant is claimed to deliver 24.97 kmpl while the LXi, VXi and ZXi MT trims have a claimed fuel efficiency of 25.24 kmpl.

The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio is now underpinned by the modular fifth-gen Heartect platform that is shared with a lot of other Maruti hatchbacks, including the Wagon R, Swift and the Baleno. In terms of features, it gets a 7.0-inch SmartPlay infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, four speakers, steering-mounted controls, tilt steering, rear defogger, rear wiper, push-button start, front fog lamps and height-adjustable driver seat. In terms of safety equipment, it gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist (in AMT variants), reverse parking sensors with a rear parking camera, day-night IRVM, etc.
