Bajaj Pulsar NS 125 has been launched in India by Bajaj Auto at Rs. 93,690. The new motorcycle is now the entry-level offering in the brand’s NS line-up. The company is ready to start the delivery of the motorcycle in the country. Interested customers can book the model via online mode through the brand’s website or by visiting the nearest Bajaj dealership before purchasing.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS125 now comes in Beach Blue, Fiery Orange, Burnt Red and Pewter Grey colour options. It has similarities in design and equipment to its elder siblings: the NS 160 and the NS 200. These include Halogen headlamps, LED taillamps, a semi-digital instrument cluster, split-seat design and clip-on handlebars. It also comes with a similar perimeter frame for enhanced handling and riding dynamics.
The new NS 125 model borrows its engine from the standard Pulsar 125 instead of the KTM 125 Duke. However, the state of the unit on the NS 125 is tuned differently. The motorcycle is equipped with a single-cylinder air-cooled DTS-i 125cc unit that generates 11.8bhp of maximum power and 11Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed standard gearbox. The NS 125 weighs 144kg(kerb)-2kg heavier than the standard Pulsar 125. It also produces 0.2bhp more power and torque in comparison with the Pulsar 125 model.
The motorcycle comes with a telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock unit at the rear to handle the suspension duties. It also has a 240mm disc up front and a 130mm drum at the rear along with a combined braking system for extra safety. But the company doesn’t offer an optional disc brake on the motorcycle.
Commenting on the launch Mr Sarang Kanade, President, Motorcycles, Bajaj Auto, said, “We are excited to bring the pedigree of the higher cc Pulsar NS series bikes, for first-time performance riding enthusiasts. The thrill that the new Pulsar NS 125 is built to offer, will appeal to a large segment of customers with its multiple class-leading features.
The Pulsar 125 has been very well received by consumers and we are confident that the new NS 125 will further strengthen the brand’s position in the Entry Sport Bike segment.”
Bajaj Auto has launched the new Pulsar NS 125 for the more enthusiastic younger generation. The model will get added to its 125cc portfolio. The standard Pulsar 125 will cater to both young and mature customers on the other hand and will have marginal differences in power figures in comparison to the Pulsar NS 125.
