Fiat has revealed the all-new compact SUV for Brazil. It isn’t confirmed if the SUV is a sub-4 metre SUV or not, but it definitely has a small stature. Currently, Fiat is a part of the large multinational automotive brand Stellantis. The company hasn’t yet given any official names to the model and has given the responsibility of choosing the names to the customers.
Fiat has three names till now. Pulse, Domo, and Tuo are the shortlisted names on their website and people can vote for either of the three names whichever they like. The new SUV will only hit the markets of Latin American.
The company is currently calling the model the SUV Fiat. It has given the codename BBB21 or Big Brother Brazil 21. The highest vote to whichever of the three shortlisted names will be officially given to the B-segment SUV. This similar strategy was used by Tata Motors during their naming of the Tiago model. The company conducted a Twitter poll and the followers chose the name of the hatchback.
The upcoming Fiat SUV is built on the new MLA platform, which is said to have a better performance, robustness and comfort. To top that, this platform of the company also provides an increased level of safety as well. Fiat is reportedly not borrowing any components like the new turbo flex engine, sophisticated electronic equipment from the existing company models such as Argo and Cronos. However, the new Fiat SUV will come with its own exclusive mechanical components along with a driver assistance system. It is likely to launch in Brazil this September.
