The interiors of the new Hyundai Alcazar have been officially revealed ahead of its launch later this month. The Korean carmaker has started accepting bookings for the SUV for a nominal fee of Rs. 25,000. Buyers who are interested in pre-ordering the SUV can do so at Hyundai dealerships or through the company’s Click to Buy Online sales platform.
The Hyundai Alcazar will be available in 6- and 7-seat configurations. The second row of the six-seater model has captain’s seats, while the second row of the seven-seater model has a bench-style arrangement. The second-row seats have a sliding function and may be moved to provide extra space for passengers in the second or third rows. The third-row seat can be entirely folded down to increase the boot area and it gets a reclining function.
A floor-mounted armrest with storage space is included in the six-seater variant. However, this eliminates the option of joining the third row through the gap between the captain seats on the second row. The one-touch tumble mechanism on the second row seat is the sole way to get to the third row.
The interiors of the new Hyundai Alcazar feature a dual-tone black and ‘Cognac’ brown theme. Behind the front seats, the SUV has fold-out tables with cupholders. The Hyundai Alcazar comes with a 10.25-inch Multi display digital cluster, a Bose premium sound system with 8 speakers, an auto healthy air purifier with AQI display, a front row sliding sunvisor, and a rear window sunshade, among other features.
The Alcazar gets a big 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Hyundai BlueLink linked car technology, a 360-degree camera, 64 ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, air purifier, wireless phone charging, and automated climate control are all included. The driver seat of the SUV is electrically adjustable in eight directions.
Two engine options will be available for the Hyundai Alcazar 6-seater: 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel. The petrol engine has a power output of 159PS and a torque output of 192Nm. The diesel engine produces 113bhp and a torque of 250Nm. There will be two transmission options: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
The Hyundai Alcazar 3-row SUV is expected to be priced between Rs. 13 lakh and Rs. 21 lakh, and will compete with the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and the new Mahindra XUV700.
