Kawasaki launches ZH2, ZH2 SE supercharged bikes in India starting at Rs. 21.90 lakh

The ZH2 and ZH2 SE motorcycles have been introduced in the Indian market by Kawasaki. The new super naked roadster is constructed on the same supercharged platform as the iconic Kawasaki H2 hyper bike. The entry level ZH2 is available at a whopping Rs. 21.90 lakh, while the higher-spec SE version costs Rs. 25.90 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new supercharged roadster is based on the Sugomi concept by Kawasaki. Some of the key feature highlights on the bike include full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled 4.3-inch colour instrument cluster. Kawasaki offers the bike with its ‘RIDEOLOGY’ connectivity application.

For its naked roadster, which comes packed with SHOWA SFF-BP front forks and a SHOWA rear mono-shock, Kawasaki has opted to use a trellis system. The higher-spec SE model comes fitted with Skyhook technology from Showa’s KECS (Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension). Rider aids and features such as traction control, ABS, launch control, power modes (full, middle, and low), three riding modes (sport, lane, and rain), rapid shifter, and a cruise control system are included in the safety package on the ZH2.

A 998cc, in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve, supercharged engine, known to produce 197.2bhp of maximum power, is at the heart of the bike. The motor is fitted with a six-speed gearbox and comes with an assist and a slipper clutch as well.

A price increase across its product range has recently been announced by the Japanese automaker. The new rates will take effect from 1 January 2021 onwards.
