The Goa-based start-up Kabira Mobility declares the launch of two electric bikes: KM3000 and KM4000 with the increasing craze for electric bikes. These high-speed bikes will be available for booking from February 20, 2021, while they will be available for delivery from the month of May this year.
The KM3000 possesses a peak power of around 8 bhp (6kW). This model is priced from Rs 1.27 lakhs (ex-showroom). The KM3000 has a top speed of 100 kmph. The KM4000 possesses a peak power of around 11 bhp which is 8kW and has a top speed of 120 kmph. The KM4000 is priced at Rs 1.37 lakhs.
Kabira mobility is planning to launch these bikes in only 9 cities initially. The two electric bikes will be available in Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa and Dharwad.

While these two high-speed bikes stand to be a figment of technology in our country, the company plans to launch more such bikes integrating highly advanced features. Considering the fact that riders have now become cautious with respect to the safety of environment too, these electric bikes seem to have potential scope for the rise of their business in India.”
Both these electric bikes can be charged in two modes. Charging in Eco mode takes nearly 6.5 hours to fully charge the battery packs while the other way is charging in Boost mode in which up to 80 percent of the battery charge can be achieved in just 50 minutes.
The KM3000 weighs 138 kg with a fairing look while the KM4000 has a kerb weight of 147 kg providing a naked bike look. Some of the features which both the models possess include a combi-braking system, onboard fast chargers, claimed range of 150 km on a single charge and roadside assistance from the company.
Having launched six electric scooters at the 2020 Auto Expo, Kabira mobility has made its debut into electric bikes since it’s launch in 2017. There are two manufacturing facilities in Goa with a production capacity of 10,000 units and at Dharwad with a production capacity of 8,000 units. There is an electric two-wheeler manufacturing plant coming up at Dharwad, Karnataka which will be India’s largest plant of the same. This plant is expected to have a monthly production capacity of 75,000 units which will be operational from May 2021.
